Spring into Art Camp

April 6-10 (Mon-Fri) 9:30-11:30am

6-12 years old – K-6th grade

AESOP'S FABLES

The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse

“A crust with comfort is better than a feast with fear”

Monday ~ Read, brainstorm, play with materials

Thursday ~ Practice and dress rehearsal

Tuesday + Wednesday ~ Design, build, and use puppets and sets

Friday ~ Performance and Reflection

Learn about the world of puppetry, set design, and performance while developing

narratives and taking perspectives. Children will work individually, in small and

large groups to design, build, and use rod puppets to tell this timeless ‘little story’

and explore the lessons it may offer.

Camp will be led by Zzoe Rowan, co-founder of Gnomon Shadow Theatre and

puppeteer with Arm of the Sea, and supervised by Katie Emerson-Hoss, M.Ed.
