All classes require a minimum enrollment and take place at the Saugerties Art Lab Space.
These classes are running currently.

Homeschool Geography - Mondays 1-2:30, 3/8, 3/15, 3/21 Ages 8 and up, $60 An Introduction to
geography. This class will look at the diversity of subjects studied in geography and will also give an
historical overview as to how the subject has developed. The class will also cover mapping,landforms,
plant and animal distribution, and population growth. The final week will be a study of three
contemporary countries.
Homeschool Model Building - Mondays March 8- April 19, 11-12:30 PM, ages 8 and up, $90 Build
interesting and fun models out of recycled and found materials. Please bring a picture or pictures of the
intended subject for the model (i.e. yurt,whale, Eiffel tower, etc.)
Neeta's Giraffes - March 9 thru April 20, ages 5-8, $60 Students will have a great time being creative
while learning geography, math and science through the study of the lovely and wonderful giraffe. This
six week exploration will incorporate a wide variety of children's literature and fun!
Drama Club - March 17 through April 28, ages 4-12 , $60 Join the fun us as we play theater and
movement games and learn about characterization, scene studies, and improvisation. Kids will get to
perform scenes they have created on the last day of class.

World Music with Mamalama Mondays April 5 through May 10, 10am-11am.
Acrylic Painting with Sheryl Anderson, Mondays April 5 through May 10, 4pm-5:30pm.
ages 8-10 $90
Painting with acrylics with an emphasis on composition, color, and individual expression. Students will
have the opportunity to explore.
Knitting Tuesdays April 6 through 27, 1pm-2:30pm.
Ages 8-99 $60 Beginners will learn how to knit a scarf. Knitters will
provide their own needles and yarn.
For a scarf, please bring a medium to thick smooth yarn along
with a pair of straight knitting needles of the size indicated on the paper band around the yarn.(Smooth
yarns are easier than furry or fuzzy yarns.) . A scarf will require 300-600 yards of yarn. Anyone with
knitting experience may bring a project of their choice to work on.
Intuitive Action Painting with Erika Larskaya Tuesdays April 6 through May 11, 4pm-5:30pm.
Ages 8 and up, $120 This class allows for expression and self-discovery through intuitive, free form
action painting process. With the help of a various painting tools and techniques, students will use music
or given theme as an inspiration and learn to follow their intuition to create expressive paintings. Have
fun and find out what you can create without rules and criticism! Dress appropriately, it's a dirty job!
Spring into Nature and Art Camp
Join naturalist Krista Munger for a nature walk at one of our local gems. Then come back to Art Lab to do
some sculpture and art making with Zzoe Rowan using natural materials. Parents will need to provide
transportation to and from the hiking sites and are welcome to accompany their children. Prices for the
week are: $50 for Hike only, $100 for Art and Sculpture only, $150.00 for both. Schedule is as follows,
March 29 to April 2 - 9-9:50 Nature Hike*
10:00-12:00 Art and Sculpture Making at the Carousel space
*Monday: Meet at Lighthouse Trail Parking Lot. Directions: from the village, head east on Main
Street past the Kiersted House. Turn right on Mynderse Street. At fork, turn left onto Lighthouse Drive.
Follow to end to parking lot.

Life magazine). Directions: from Saugerties Village, take route 212 west for 6.2 miles. Turn right at
Charles Rothe Rd/Old Rt. 212 and then quickly right onto Goat Hill Road. Go 1 mile and turn right on
Stoll Road. Parking lot is on left about a quarter of a mile up Stoll Road.
Thursday: Meet at Ulster Landing Park. Directions: from Saugerties Village, take 9W/32S, bearing
left onto 32S at the Stewart's stoplight. Drive 2.7 miles to Ulster Landing Road, turn left and go about 1
mile to the parking lot on the left (which is north of and before the main entrance to the park).
Friday: Meet at Esopus Bend's Shady Lane Parking Area www.esopuscreekconservancy.org.
Directions: from the village, drive south on 9W toward Barclay Heights. Turn right on Overbaugh, left on
Simmons Drive, right on Appletree Drive, and left on Shady Lane. Parking is available for a few cars. We'll
be taking the Meadow Trail.
